Tips to Fix Missing Metro Apps and Tiles in Windows 8

When a Windows 8 computer is upgraded to Windows 8 RT from its Developers Preview version, you may have a trouble that is Metro apps and tiles will not show up on the Start screen. To fix missing metro apps and tiles, you can read the following tutorial:

Restore Windows 8 System

1. Log into the system as the administrator.
2. Go to the desktop and click File Explorer icon from the taskbar.


3. Right-click Computer from the left pane, and then click Properties from the context menu.

4. Click System protection from the left pane on System window.

5. Then click System Restore button under System Restore section.

6. Click Next to continue, and click Finish on the Confirm your restore point page.

7. On the displayed confirmation box, click Yes to restore the Windows 8 computer to an earlier restore point.

Refresh Windows 8 System

1. Log into the system as the administrator.
2. Go to the desktop and click File Explorer icon from the taskbar.

3. Hit Win and C keys to pull out the Charm bar.


4. Click Settings and click Change PC settings from the bottom of the Settings pane.

5. On PC settings window, click to select General.

6. Scroll the page and click Get started under Refresh your PC without affecting your files section.

7. On Refresh your PC screen, click Next. And then follow on-screen instructions to continue.
