How to Recover Hibernation Feature in Windows 8 & 8.1

Posted by Britt Duncan - November 7, 2014

When you open the Power menu in Windows 8 or 8.1, you will find that the Hibernate mode option is missing. In fact, the hibernation is disabled by default. This tutorial will show you how to add the hibernation option to the Power User Menu.

1. Open the Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options, and click the Choose what the power button do from the left panel.
