How to fix Slow Images loading with Windows Photo Viewer

Window Photo View may come handy as a built-in tool in Windows to view pictures. However, this program may work not so well and sometimes take a long time to load an image. This may happen if the tool have trouble coordinating the color of your pictures. This post will walk you through the fix of this irritating problem.

Method one:
1.Open up Windows Explorer and paste C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\drivers\color in the box. Then hit Enter.


2.The Color folder will show up accordingly.


Alternatively, another approach to access this folder is to click Win + R keys together to open Run dialogue box.

Copy and paste %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\color in the box. Hit OK and you will see the same window popping up as well.


3.Search forĀ CalibratedDisplayProfile-x.icc and delete it.

To delete this file, you can also go through system settings step by step.Press Win+R key on Keyboard. Type colorcpl.exe in the search box and click Enter.


The Color Management window will show up. Move to Advanced tab at the top. Move to the left bottom of the window, click Change System Defaults button.

Next, click Default Profile in the profile box followed by Remove button.


Method two:

1.Open Registry Editor. Tap Win + R keys together to open up Run box. Put in regedit and hit Enter.


2.Expand the following keys respectively:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Photo Viewer\Viewer


3.Move to right pane where you will find a key named CacheSize . Right click on it and select Edit DWORD Value.
Set the value to o (zero).

Restart the PC. Open up a random image to see whether the windows photo viewer loading pictures faster or not.
