How to Enable or Disable Password Protection on Wakeup in Windows 8 & 8.1

The Windows tutorial will teach you how to enable or disable the password protection. If disabled, Windows system won’t require you to enter a password on wakeup from sleep. To do this, you must log-in to your PC as an administrator.

1. Press Win + C keys to open the Charms bar and select Change PC settings, then click on Accounts on the left side.

2. To disable the require password on wakeup, click the Sign-in options, look at Password policy and then

3. Click Change button you will see the information as shown below, and click Change.

4. To enable the require password on wakeup, click the Sign-in options, look at Password policy and then click Change button.
