How to Disable Alt + Tab Preview Feature Quickly

By default, tapping Alt + Tab keys simultaneously can give you a preview of running programs and provide you a quick access between them. However, this may pose a tiny problem when there are too many programs running at the same time and the preview feature leaves you not much time to see each program clearly. But, you can disable this feature easily with the use of following methods. Please keep reading.


Method one:

Step 1: Click Win + R keys to bring up Run command box. Type Sysdm.cpl in the box, and hit Enter key.


Step 2: You will see the System Properties dialog is opening up. Move to Advanced tab.


Step 3: At the Advanced tab, under System Performance section, click Settings button to proceed.


Step 4: Now, you’ll be at the Performance Option dialogue, under the Visual Effects tab, scroll down the list and locate Aero Peek option. Tick off the check-mark before it and click Apply button.


Method two:

Step 1: Open up Registry Editor. Type Regedit in the search box of Start menu and then press Enter key. Click Yes to continue seeing any prompt by the UAC.

Step 2: In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following key:


Step 3: Move to the right panel, create a new value. Set its name to AltTabSettings and change its value to 1 (one).


Step 4: Close Registry Editor window and restart the computer to have a check. This will help you disable preview feature of Alt+Tab keys.
