Posted by Britt Duncan - July 29, 2014

It is a very distinctive design that Windows 8 can allow us to login to our account via picture passwords. Sometimes, not everyone likes to use virtual keyboard to type their password when they get into the operating system. For some computer users, a picture password is safer and more reliable than a character password. On the one hand, a picture password is easier for some computer users to remember. On the other hand, a picture password can also decorate the login interface and make it more beautiful. Today in this tutorial, we will discuss about how to create a picture password in Windows 8 & 8.1. If you don’t like numeric password and PIN code, you can follow this tutorial to select a picture to act as your password.

1. Press Win + C keys to open the Charm bar on the Metro Start Screen and select the gear icon.

In this tutorial, I will create three simple gestures of drawing a triangle on an apple.

Note: you can make circles, straight lines or trap in the selected picture while you are creating these gestures. But make sure that you remember the directions you make. Each gesture must be followed in the same order and in the same direction when you use it enter your PC.
