You may find it so-so or even bad with the default account picture in your Windows computer, especially when you are a person with a strong personality. With easy steps below, you can then use your favorite picture no matter you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8.

How to Change your Account Picture in Windows 7

Step one- Click Start button, then Control Panel.
Step two- Click User Accounts under Large icons view.
Step three- Click Change your picture.
Or, if you would like to change another account picture, click Manage another account. Then click the user account of which you want to change picture. And select Change the picture.
Step four- Highlight one picture from the provided list. Then click Change Picture.
Or, click Browse for more pictures. And choose and open the image you like.
Now you’ll get a totally new picture for your account. It should be aware that only administrator has the ability to change picture for other accounts.

How to Change your Account Picture in Windows 8 & Windows 8.1

Step one- Right-click on the user account when you are in the Start screen. Then select Change account picture.
Step two- Click Browse in Accounts window.
Or, you can click Camera to take a picture. Also, you need a front facing camera on your laptop, or a webcam attached to the desktop.

Step three-
Click the files or libraries dropdown, and choose one location where you save the needed photo.
Step four- Highlight the picture, and click Choose Image to save your selection.
Now when you are in the Start screen again, your new Profile will be shown and the new account picture is displayed.
