The Start screen in Windows 8 should be a place where you can get start everything easily. However, you may not be able to find Control Panel in it. Besides, it could be not that easy for most people to open Control Panel in Windows 8. So in this post, we’ll tell how to add a Control Panel shortcut to the Start screen.

Step one- Right click on any blank space on the desktop, and click New, and select Shortcut.

Step two- Type the following location in the box. Then click Next.

Step three- Give the name Control Panel. And click Finish.

Step four- You’ll now see a new shortcut on the desktop, right click on it and select Properties.

Step five- In Shortcut tab, click Change icon.

Step six- Paste the following into the box. And press Enter.

Step seven- Find and select the Control Panel icon. And click OK.

Step eight- Back to the desktop, right click on the new Control Panel shortcut, and select Pin to Start.

That’s it! You can hit Windows key to check the result now.

Step one- Press Windows key and C key together, then click Search.

Step two-
Type Control Panel in the dialog box.

Step three- Click and select Control Panel listed in the search results.

Step four- See to the bottom, and choose Pin to Start.

You’re done! In the Start screen, you’ll get a Control Panel shortcut.
